How to install solar panels on Taylor Whimpey tiled roof – 5 bedroom Lavenham

Tempo di lettura ca.: 39 secondi

There is a lot of discussion on this topic, some homeowners are quite skeptical when it comes to the endurance of the roof. There is no clear “green light” to permit the installation of solar panels. A solution is to invite a structural engineer to evaluate the roof and check if the extra load will be acceptable. A solar panel weighs between 20-22kg and covers 1.8 square meters.

A newly developed property is fitted with 24 solar panels on the south-facing side

Stainless steel hooks with 180 deg bend, ideal for flat concrete tiles.

Aluminum rails and 140mm rail connectors.

Two first rows with total power 6,560Watt peak power. No issue with load on the roof so far.

Mounting solar kit for flat tile roofs. 180deg bend hooks with extendable aluminum rails. The third series of panels is installed, the load of panels did not put any mechanical stress on the tiles or the wooden rafters.

In this project, the client wanted to experiment with 3 independent strings of solar panels, from two different Tier-1 manufacturers. The top row is 420Watt from ET-Solar and the bottom rows are 410W from Renesola.
