How to set up a simple hybrid wind & solar off-grid system

How can we connect a wind turbine to a solar photovoltaic kit ?

In this blog post, we will solve the problem many off-grid customers have when they want to add a small wind turbine to their existing PV system. The small-scale turbines can not inject AC power 230VAC directly to the loads. For this reason, the generator (a permanent magnet or induction) acts as a battery charger. By the selecting the right generator and rectifier, the wind system charges 12V, 24V and 48V battery banks.

The batteries will accept power from two renewable resources and which ever source will charge the battery to the maximum level, then the charging procedure will cease. If the wind is charging faster than solar when the batteries will reach the maximum float charge even the solar inverter will stop charging.

The concept of a hybrid solar PV system with 1kW Permanent Magnet Generator. Lithium batteries are coupled on a common 48V DC Link bus bar system
